Elvis in Vegas: l972/fat Elvis.. couldn't remember words..couldn't get up from his crouch..sooo much sweat!!!!!
..and ALL of the Fox and Paramount Theater R&R shows/NYC ..in the fifties...they went on for hours

Howdy Dawn! I forgot all about this post of mine, so I never replied to your question! Sorry about that. I saw Harrison on his "Dark Horse" tour, probably 74 or 75. Actually it was a disappointment, he spent too much of it doing religious chants (him & his singers) and lecturing the audience on the need for spirituality.

Hey MC! I've heard that others also thought he went a little too far with the religious content in those early-to-mid '70s shows - after all, it was supposed to be a concert, and not a sermon. And his voice was rough from overuse during that Dark Horse tour also, from what I understand. Still, a very talented guy. He's supposed to be awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame sometime this year. I'd love to be able to attend that ceremony, although since they usually do those on weekdays I'm not sure I'll be able to.
