Didn't even realize today was his b-day! Happy birthday Paul!
I've said it before, and I'll say it again, this is one of the best live albums of all time! Like I said Pete, you need to get this! I'm saying this, and I don't own it myself! LOL!! (I have always had access to my dad's)
Of course Maybe I'm Amazed was released as a single, and although I love that live take, I prefer the original album version.
This was where I discovered You Gave Me the Answer, and what inspired me to buy Venus and Mars. In this case, I prefer the live version!
Great album all around!

Hi Dawn & Happy Birthday Sir Paul.
1976 seemed to be the year of great live albums (Show Me the Way comes to mind). This two is a great live album. Paul & the gang have so much energy & fun during the live performances on this album. Has his Wings hits, couple of album tracks, couple of Beatle songs, & Richard Cory (think that was a Simon & Garfunkel song). Anyway good album from a great artist.

Hi Dawn:) - A big Happy Birthday to Sir Paul A great live album indeed , We had the 8 - track in the house back in the good ol ' 70's. I listened to this many, many times when I was little . I really wish I would have got to see Paul on this tour , my cousin did though (lucky guy!!) he, took a trip down with a couple of his buddy's to the Seattle show. I first became aware of songs like Soily (what a rocker!) , Maybe I'm Amazed and Time To Hide from listening to the record. I found my vinyl copy (with poster!) at a used book store in the 80's . Faves: That's easy! - all of them:)

Never too crazy about Paul's solo work. But a McCartney concert is as close as you can get to having a Beatles concert today. And this has three of the solo songs I like the best- "Maybe I'm Amazed", "Live & Let Die", and "Let Me Roll It".

This is the only Wings album that I've never owned. It is, however, the only place to find live versions of songs like "Spirits Of Ancient Egypt" and "Beware My Love", a couple of favorites of mine.
And of course, "Soily" which was never available in a studio version (I have it on the b-side of the "Maybe I'm Amazed" 45.)
So I should get this, but I really wish I had been there in person! I saw Paul in '90, but it wasn't the same.. THESE were the songs I really wanted to hear!!

I definitely agree with you that this is one of the best live albums ever made. So many great songs, both Beatles and solo hits, and Paul and Wings perform them to perfection! It's awesome! I always loved the live 'Maybe I'm Amazed' from this album, but didn't hear the original version until the early 90's. Both are great!

That's a good point about the 1976 live albums, dodger. And I agree, there is a lot of variety here. I hadn't known that about 'Richard Cory', but you're absolutely right!

This album was where I first heard 'Soily' as well. Hang on to that poster - that's sure to become a collector's item!

Paul was in top form when these tracks were recorded, and there's so much energy there. I've wondered why 'Soily' wasn't released and promoted as a separate single. Had it been better known, I think it could have done really well!

I really enjoy Paul and Wings, but I'm probably the only person here who doesn't enjoy live albums.
I don't know why - it's just one of those quirky things. I own a few live albums, but they're mostly to complete a collection, or the like.
There are some good songs on that set, and at least Paul sounds good live, but live albums just aren't my cup of tea.

I would recommend it, and I'm not a huge fan of live albums. Thanks for the info on Richard Cory. Paul & Wings do a pretty good cover of it. Worth listening to.
