You're Welcome Dawn - An album that I read so much about over the years. Of course I knew I Saw The Light and Hello It's Me (loved when they included it in that episode of That 70's Show where they all went to one of Todd's concert's) but that was basically it until I found a vinyl copy a few years back for $2, and thought well here's my chance! So many great songs. Faves: Couldn't I Just Tell You (great power pop!) , Hello It's Me , I Saw The Light , Black Maria , It Wouldn't Have Made Any Difference ( an early 70's Canadian hit for a guy named Tom Middleton) , Wolfman Jack , Torch Song , Saving Grace , Cold Morning Light and It Takes Two to Tango.

Great choice! I have the double vinyl as well-another winner! Great impromptu session!

I enjoy Todd Rundgren.
Although I will admit I don't know the greater majority of these songs, "Hello It's Me" is my favorite. It's scary because it's a lot like a phone call I had with an ex boyfriend once.

Hi Ken! This is an album I don't personally own, although I would like to someday. But I'm familiar with some of the songs on it, as well as some of Todd's other work, and everything I've heard so far is very good. I remember that That 70s Show episode - that was the very first show, I believe!

It's scary because it's a lot like a phone call I had with an ex boyfriend once. I've always loved 'Hello It's Me' - I can remember hearing it on the radio when I was very young. That is kind of scary when song lyrics relate so closely to things that happen in our lives.

Love the full length version of Hello it's Me, with the aborted count in intro intact, and the accapella ending. I Saw the Light is another big fave of mine, you don't know how long I thought that was a chick singing!
Alison Krauss covered It Wouldn't Have Made Any Difference about 4 years ago. Just a little FYI!

I saw a promo poster for this album from '72. It is a picture of Todd with a rather c0cky look on his face, and underneath his picture, it says "Go ahead, ignore me!" I thought it was pretty cool...
I don't own this, but I want to pick it up eventually. He has NEVER dissapointed me!

Just a little FYI! 'I Saw the Light' has always reminded me of some of George Harrison's early solo material, especially the guitar work. I can see how you thought it was a female voice! I'd be interested in hearing Alison's version of 'It Wouldn't Have Made Any Difference'. Great song!

I imagine it's quite a collector's item nowadays!
