My second fave Floyd album, after Animals.
I have heard every song get airplay around here, with Shine On getting the least, probably due to it's length.
Faves on here are Have a Cigar and the title track.

Hi Dawn:) We had the album in the house when I was growing up and a buddy of mine bought the CD in the mid 80's. I never bought it myself but I did borrow the CD and tape a few of the tracks on to cassette. I'm kind of burnt out on the band ,at this point I like reading about them more than listening to them LOL I always thought their albums were recorded really well. Faves : Have a Cigar , Wish You Were Here and Shine On You Crazy Diamond

I heard it about two weeks ago, but that was the first time in quite a while. I need to pick up Animals sometime. I know 'Sheep', 'Dogs', and 'Pigs (Three Different Ones)' from it, and they're all good songs.

Shine On You Crazy Diamond- the last Floyd epic space jam! I first heard 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond' at a friend's house back in 1986, and thought it was great! Not long after, I bought their album A Collection of Great Dance Songs primarily for that song.

As I mentioned to m c, 'Shine On' has been a favorite of mine for years, but I also really like the other two songs you mentioned.

Hi Dawn.
Love Pink Floyd and really like this album. Our classic rock station of choice (I have two within broadcast range), plays a lot of Floyd and not just Money. Welcome to the Machine, along with two of my favorites by Pink Floyd from this album, Shine on You Crazy Diamond & Wish You Were Here, get just enough airplay not to go nuts hearing them over & over. Some of the songs might be long, but who cares, it's Pink Floyd. Good Album.

There are two classic rock/rock stations in my area also, and they play a lot of Pink Floyd songs as well, particularly cuts from The Wall. Sometimes they overdo it, as I mentioned to Ken, but there are a few songs that don't get as much play, such as 'Shine On' and 'Welcome to the Machine'. I find that the more deeply I investigate Pink Floyd's music, the more I love it.

The only 2 other songs are little minute and a half tunes. BTW-that is my next suggestion for this post!!
