Picked this up on vinyl, pretty cheaply as I recall.
I only know the biggies here. Straight On is a classic, love the beginning! "QUITE SOME TIMES........."
Dog & Butterfly is a great ballad (although not as good as Dreamboat Annie).
Cook With Fire I actually heard done by a tribute band first! That was why I picked this album up. Interesting that it is a live cut.
Good choice today.

Loved this album at the time . I've had my vinyl copy for quite a long while. Back in the late 70's I borrowed my neighbor's copy all the time . It's amazing that I didn't wear it out LOL . The harmonies on Dog and Butterfly are outstanding . The drumming on Cook With Fire is fantastic - go Michael! - I remember sitting in our basement rec - room trying to learn the drum part back then. Probably drove my neighbors crazy - oh well ! LOL Faves Straight On , Mistral Wind , Cook With Fire , Dog and Butterfly and Lighter Touch

Ann's vocals are superb as always, and I also love that beginning line! 'Dog & Butterfly' is beautiful, but like you, I think 'Dreamboat Annie' is the better of the two songs.

Like so many of their songs, it's truly a classic. LOL about driving your neighbors crazy! ;D 'Cook With Fire' is one of my favorite songs on the album.

Hi Dawn -
Why does it seem that Heart just cranked out quality album after quality album. Every time we review a Heart album, I think, this is their best one. Great great album. The ballads & the rockers just seem to fit together. Got this on vinyl and never got tired of listening to it. Favorites: Cook with Fire, Dog & Butterfly, Mistral Wind, Straight On, High Time, Lighter Touch.

It's been a while since I've heard this one - I definitely want to get it out and give it a listen soon!

Heart is one of my favorite groups, and this is a great album from them. I've always loved Ann Wilson's voice, and Nancy is no slouch on the guitar! Another album I'm gonna have to dig out of my collection and listen to again soon.

Have several Heart albums, but not this one. Straight On and Dog & Butterfly are the only ones I know, but both are excellent.

Faves from this album are Straight On and Dog and Butterfly. I also liked Dreamboat Annie better, but can still listen to Dog and Butterfly any time.
Heart is one of those groups that I can listen to almost all of their songs (with the exception of that excremental song "All I Wanna Do" - where is that vomiting smiley when I need it?)

I don't think she always receives the acclaim that she should, unfortunately.

I've never been fond of 'All I Wanna Do' either - it was VERY overplayed back when it was current, and it just doesn't measure up to their earlier work, IMO.

I gotta agree with you there. I love most of their stuff, but they really wasted their talents on that one. (For one thing, it reminds me a lot of John Waite's "Missing You", which is a really boring song IMHO. )
