Woo Hoo!!! - I'm a HUGE fan of Marshall's - I have this on vinyl and two copies of it on CD .Remember hearing Someday Someway back in '82 and loving it . Every tune on the album is brilliant and catchy! Thank you Rhino for including the bonus tracks which are equally strong . Starlit Summer Sky - which would eventually show up on his 1996 album Miracle of Science(another gem!) as Starless Summer Sky and Whenever You're on My Mind -are awesome . Somebody Like You (originally a B - Side) is one of the best B - side's of all time! Love the handclaps- Great drumming from Marshall's brother Robert - Robert toured with Marshall and played on his first couple of albums. You'll be humming this for days after hearing it! Rave On(once again originally a b side recorded at WPLR radio) - Yup the Buddy Holly classic! I've been blown away by how great his covers are - he's even done a cover of Abba's Knowing Me ,Knowing You! - Buddy would be proud. Another great cover included on the album is Soldier of Love originally done by Arthur Alexander( The Beatles did a recording of it on the Live at The BBC CD as well as another Alexander tune Anna (Go To Him) It's a shame that more people aren't aware of his music! he's a great songwriter and fine guitar player. Everyone should have at least one CD or LP in their collection ,I have them all and enjoy every one . Dawn, I think you would really enjoy this CD Faves - All of them

I'm afraid I'm not too familiar with this album myself - 'Someday Someway' is the only one of these I recognize. Great song - I've always liked it.

From your description, it does sound like a great album! 'Someday Someway' really stood out from the pack back in 1982. I love that "retro" sound! How many albums does he have in total?

Thanks for doing this one, Dawn. Always thought he was one of the most underrated artists of the 80's. Ken hit the nail on the head with his review. I would highly recommend this to anyone who's not familiar with his music. My favorites are Cynical Girl and Someday, Someway, but there's not a bad track on here.

I can't figure out why radio stations don't play more of his songs. It seems like I may have heard one or two of his other songs on two AOR stations I used to listen to back in 1983-84, but I'm not positive.

He writes such amazing songs and yet radio ignores him.
