Hi, Dawn. Summer of '69 is my favorite off of this album. As a whole, I like You Want It You Got It and Cuts Like A Knife better.

This was a very popular album with me(and many others I knew) back in High - School. A buddy brought the cassette over for me to listen to and a couple of days later I bought the album - and now have it on CD. Fantastic songs and great playing throughout the album.
BTW - My cousin bought the album at the time and his was on Red Vinyl - These I believe were only released in Canada and MUST be rare because I have only ever seen two copies (his and the one I found for a dollar!! two years ago at a swap meet)
Faves - Run To You , Heaven (memories of my first High School Crush (she was so cute:) ,One Night Love Affair, Summer of '69 , Long Gone , It's Only Love (Tina!) , She's Only Happy When She's Dancin' , and Somebody

Hang on to it - it definitely sounds like a rare collector's item! 'Run to You' is probably my favorite of all his songs. That song rocks!!

You know, I am actually surprised this guy doesn't get a little more acclaim as a writer. Maybe because it took a couple albums to get in gear, and after Waking Up the Neighbors he kinda fizzled. This was DEFINITELY a career album!
So many great singles, and even good album cuts in numbers 2 & 7. Love the duet with Tina. My fave though didn't make his Greatest Hits-One Night Love Affair. Funny thing is, I don't really remember it from when it was out! LOL!
Good album all around.

He was definitely at his best for this album and Cuts Like a Knife, though - both are very solid. I think I've actually heard 'One Night Love Affair' more often on the radio in recent years than I did back then!
