Today's featured album is a classic from one of the best arena rock bands of the late 70's-early 80's, and was suggested by Dave.
Point of Know Return - Kansas, 1977[/size]
The tracks:
1. Point of Know Return 2. Paradox 3. Spider 4. Portrait (He Knew) 5. Closet Chronicles 6. Lightning's Hand 7. Dust in the Wind 8. Sparks of the Tempest 9. Nobody's Home 10. Hopelessly Human
The remastered edition also includes a live version of 'Spark of the Tempest' and a remix of 'Portrait (He Knew)'.
What are your thoughts on this album?

I have Point of No Return and Carry on Wayward Son included on the best of CD that I have (which is great) but unfortunately those are the only tunes I'm familiar with. I know my oldest brother had the album and played it quite a bit but it's been years since I've heard it.

Their best album, IMO. Arena rock blended with progressive sounds, topped off with their biggest hit ever, one of the finest ballads ever recorded. I have this on a cassette w/Leftoverture, both superior.

It has so many great songs on it, such as 'Hold On'. For the life of me, I can't figure out why that song doesn't get more airplay than it does. 'Play the Game Tonight' is another good one on that CD!

There are some excellent songs on Leftoverture as well - I especially love 'What's On My Mind'.

I remember Play The Game Tonight getting it's fair share of airplay back in '82 and taping it off the radio.

I used to tape songs off the radio often back then, and still have some of the tapes I made. It's cool to hear those songs from years ago, along with promo announcements from stations that aren't around anymore. I wish I'd saved even more of those tapes - they really bring back the memories!

I only know the two singles, but they are two of my faves by them. SO much better than Carry On Wayward Son!
