You're very welcome Dawn I have this on vinyl as well as the remastered CD. I also bought the 45 of Squeeze Box back in '75 / '76. This is another album my brother won off the radio back in the 70's. Quite a few of the songs deal with getting older , Pete was having a tough time - he I believe was around 30 at the time and was trying to come to terms with being an "ageing rock star " and wondering wether or not the Who should continue as a group. Even though most of the songs are of a personnal nature he still could write fun tunes like Squeeze Box. I really got into the album back in the late 70's / early 80's . I think some of Pete's finest tunes are included . Faves - Slip Kid , Dreaming From The Waist , Success Story (great song from John) , Imagine A Man , Squeeze Box , They Are All in Love and How Many Friends. The bonus live material is great too.

Only familiar with the 2 cuts that get radio play, Squeeze Box and Slip Kid.
A little burnt on Squeeze Box at this point, but I LOVE Slip Kid! In my Who all time top 5 for sure!!

Don't have the album, but remember well Squeeze Box & Slip Kid, both good songs. Have Imagine a Man on another Who CD and it's a great song as well.

I don't own this album myself yet, although I would definitely like to someday - there are some really good songs on it. I really like the Who's 70's work in general, and 'Squeeze Box' has been a favorite of mine ever since I was young. I can definitely relate to the song themes of growing older!

I wish the classic rock stations here played more of their music - I very seldom hear any mid-to-late 70's Who songs other than 'Who Are You'.

I have this on CD, I bought it around the time I graduated high school (in the spring of '89, it was announced that they were going to tour that summer, so I was gearing up for the concert by getting all the CDs).
This was a "fan's album". Forgettable to the casual listener, but I liked quite a bit of it. "Dreaming From The Waist", "Success Story", "They Are All In Love", "How Many Friends" and "However Much I Booze" may not rank alongside the Who classics, but they're all good.
I will admit, however, that I like the album that came before it (Quadrophenia) and the album that came after it (Who Are You) MUCH better!

I'm not as familiar with Who Are You, but the title track vies with 'Eminence Front' as my favorite of all their songs. I've never seen them perform live, but have heard that their shows were excellent!
