Kitty has the album of the day, plus I want to wait until I can listen to this several times before an "official" review.
I just wanted to say, this is a GREAT album so far! Martina said it was "more Martina music" and that's EXACTLY what it is! Very typical, signature sound.
And it is VERY much a country album. Critics were already starting to blast her because the first song sounded too pop (although all album reviews so far are good otherwise). Well that is the only one that sounds too pop! Lots of fiddle, dobro, etc. But it isn't TOO hillbilly either. It's the good blend like her past albums. Again, typical Martina.
Usually she has a song that chokes me up, and this album is NO exception. Two songs do it, In My Daughter's Eyes and God's Will.
The song How Far is her Where Would You Be-There You Are-A Broken Wing power vocal of the album.
And her live rendition of Over the Rainbow is just unbelievable!
I highly recommend this!
I also picked up the DVD. There are only 6 videos on it, 2 previously available, so it was only $6!
AND.......I also got the big advertisement of the album that they had up by the outdoor!! This is the first ad I have ever gotten of Martina, so that is cool!
