Reba McEntire
It's Your Call
1992
Other than her greatest hits collections, this is my favorite Reba album. I absolutely love every song. There's not a stinker in the bunch. Even non-country fans should check this out. I promise you'll find at least one song that you'll enjoy!
1. It's Your Call
It has always baffled me why this song never made any of the greatest hits albums. When it first came out it got quite a bit of radio airplay. So maybe this is a "typical" country song, but I still love it. Something in Reba's voice always hits home with me, and I've never heard her sing anything that sounded bad.
2. Straight From You
Love the steel guitar on this song. Another winner, IMO.
3. Take It Back
Deserving of its spot on the Greatest Hits Volume III album. I absolutely love this song and its video. Look out for the awesome guitar and saxophone solos!
4. Baby's Gone Blues
Amazing vocals on this song. It's always been one of my favorites of anything Reba's done.
5. The Heart Won't Lie duet with Vince Gill
This is my favorite Reba duet. Actually, Vince Gill is Reba's most frequent dueting partner. They always do incredible work together. I just adore this song. Also, a little side note: This song was co-written by Kim Carnes.
6. One Last Good Hand
Another unsung Reba classic. I believe I hear both Vince Gill and Linda Davis on background vocals. They're both credited and it sounds an awful lot like them to me, but I could be wrong.
7. He Wants To Get Married
The final lyrics of this song are just so powerful, to me. Listen to the song without the lyrics nearby and you'll see what I mean. *tear*
8. For Herself
Beautiful acoustic guitar on this song. Some people would probably think this song is kind of lame, but it was such an inspiration for me when I was younger.
"Some how she always knew...She had the strength inside...And even if she fell she'd survive....In spite of all the tears she may cry...This is how she has to live her life...As hard as it may be...She has find out for herself."
9. Will He Ever Go Away
Another great song that is oft forgotten
10. Lighter Shade of Blue
Here's proof that you never really get over your pain - you just learn how to deal with it.
