I take it you have the UK version, which I also have. I was very impressed by the 2002 remasters, and have several of them.

John Lennon-Rock and Roll
With the recent trend of "cover albums", it's interesting to see that John Lennon did it over 35 years ago! But, in all honesty, the story behind this album is far more interesting than the music it contains. Nothing wrong with what John was doing, but I'd rather hear the original versions and get original material from John instead.

::sigh:: I wish my step-kids would get into cool music like your kids are, Adam, but unfortunately I got to them too late... As for the Go-Go's, I heard "We Got The Beat" the other day on the radio and REALLY wasn't in the mood for it..

I have this, mainly for "Straight Shootin' Woman", but I also have all the old Dunhill CD's because I'm a pretty big fan, and this collection is somewhat weak IMO.

Got this on vinyl. Should upgrade, but there's only really two tracks I care about ("No Values" and "Not Such A Bad Boy") that I don't have elsewhere. Again, who needs re-recordings?

I got this from the library myself recently! Copied it, but have yet to really listen. I will eventually when the mood strikes me.

Led Zeppelin-How the West Was Won
I recently copied a two DVD set of live Zeppelin performances that span their entire career., Not sure if this is it, though.

Yeah, I'm pretty lucky! She loves the Beatles, Paul, Stones, Monkees, Martina, Collective Soul and various other tunes.

You must have a pretty indepth knowledge of their stuff! This was pretty complete for me.

Led Zeppelin-How the West Was Won
The DVD simpley titled "Led Zeppelin" and has a weird colored picture of like sand dunes? That's an AWESOME collection! That was a must own for me! I picked that up right away.

Also, you may want to investigate Kings of Leon.

The UK version has no hits on it. Also, it says "UK" in the lower right-hand corner. That's the one I have. When they did the 2002 remasters, this and Aftermath got released in both US and UK versions.

I shouldn't complain about the kids. they do like SOME music. The little one is always asking if he can listen to my iPod. But he always wants to hear the same song, "Shrek" (which is what he calls "All-Star" by Smashmouth.) The older one likes a couple tunes by AC/DC, Lenny Kravitz, Journey's "Seperate Ways" (they both like this one), Van Halen, etc.. But one time I put on "A Horse With No Name" and he HATED it...

At least they're not into rap (yet... and they won't be if I have anything to say about it.. But I think the little one is going to go in that direction..)

Steppenwolf, I have all the ABC/Dunhill albums (all on CD except "Early Steppenwolf", which was never available domestically on CD). I grew up on 'em (Hence my current avatar), and have been on a bit of a Steppenwolf kick since I saw John Kay last month. "For Ladies Only" is my favorite album by them. Also the first, Second, and 7 are all great albums. Don't bother with any of the post-Dunhill stuff, though. They should've stayed broken up in the 70's.

Yeah, that's the Zep DVD I have. Great live performance of "Achilles" (A song that rarely got played live).

I've jeard of Kings of Leon, MAY have heard a song or two.

Oh, and the Lennon story. It was started in I believe '72 or 73 (during his "Lost weekend".) Apparently he had a falling out with Spector and Spector hijacked the tapes. Lennon had to fight like mad to get them back, during which time an album called "Roots" came out on Adam VIII label (the whole Morris Levy thing is another story altogether). Lennon had the album withdrawn, which is now a BIG $$$$ album. He got the tapes back, but never forgave Spector and took his anger towards him to his grave.

Oh, and one more thing, I was able to track down a CD of "Broad Street" last week, for those two songs.

I took your advice and put in requests for several different albums.
I just got For the Love of Harry: Everybody Sings Nilsson on Saturday. It's a really good tribute album.
