Grammys are coming up tonight, 7pm.
I'm watching for one thing, and one thing only-Martina will be performing!! She'll be performing Concrete Angel.
She is up for Video of the Year for Concrete Angel and Female Vocal Performance of the Year for This One's For the Girls.
Actually, I am also watching for the Beatles tribute, headed by Vince Gill.
There is also a Tribute to Warren Zevon.

I thought last night's Grammys was one of the finest productions I've ever seen. The performances were great - ALL of them, and for once I wasn't looking at the clock wondering when the show was going to end.
I especially loved the Foo Fighters performance with Chick Corea but my Dave Grohl love makes me biased.

Did you get to see Martina, Ken? She looked and sounded great!! Her performance was incredible ! and she looked so beautiful. I thought that Fountains of Wayne were suppose to perform so I was disapointed when I discovered that they weren't going to be. |

I taped it ;D; however, my tape ran out before the show ended.  I haven't watched it yet, but I HOPE Martina appeared before my tape ran out.  The good news is I also taped her Crossroads episode with Pat Benatar yesterday. I got ALL of that. (And yes, I am adding videotapes to the shopping list for this weekend) |

Watched it. Thought it was really good. I enjoyed (most of) the performances. Thought The White Stripes were excellent. And The Foo Fighters with Chick Corea was great! Oh, and Martina McBride? She was ok. LMAO! Just teasin' ya, Adam. I really enjoyed her performance. She has an amazing voice. |

Yes it was and yes she was! LOL! I don't think I know their stuff. LOL You may have heard Stacey's Mom. It's been getting alot of airplay since late last year. Their latest CD Welcome Interstate Managers is a great collection of catchy pop/ rock tunes and my favorite "new" CD of 2003 / 2004 . Lead singer Adam Shlesinger wrote That Thing You Do for the movie. |
