Didja watch? It was pretty cool!
They had the Cowsills singing part of Love, American Style! They didn't show them up close though, and they looked quite young. I am wondering if it was "The Cowsills:The Next Generation."
Then Tony Orlando came out WITH Dawn! I know for sure the one girl was Telma Hopkins, but I wouldn't know the other girl if she came up and tied a yellow ribbon around my oak tree!
Tony sounded good, and so did his toupe.
Cheryl Ladd won my "still lookin' fine" award last year. Lynda Carter gets it this year. WOO!!
They did a funny future reunion spoof of Sex in the City with Bea Arthur, Sally Struthers, Katherine Helmond and Carlotte Rae.
This wasn't as great as last year, but how could it be? They probably thought last year was a one time thing, since they were honoring past shows, and so most of the star power was last year. Plus they had to make up new awards this year, but it was cool.
I was, however, disappointed in the tribute to John Ritter. I thought for sure, the loss of him, the first host, would have received an actual posthumus award. Instead, George Lopez kinda winged a speech and they showed a (nice) montage of clips and went to a commercial. Amy Yasbeck WAS there, and I thought they could have had her come up and accept an award for John.
Otherwise, cool show!

I missed it last night, but they are repeating this morning at 11:00am (CST), so I'll give it a look.

I really wish that TV Land was part of our cable package - I've been on their website a few times. It sounds like it was a great show! I would have liked to have seen The Cowsills LMAO about Tony Orlando and Dawn I've seen Lynda Carter and have to agree she still looks amazing!

I thought it was cool that they had Tony Orlando and Dawn on there, and I'm like you. I know Telma Hopkins but I wouldn't be able to tell you the other woman's name if my life depended on it. And the only reason I know Telma Hopkins is from Family Matters!
I was disappointed in the awards part of the show. There were way more awards than that that they gave away. Why didn't they show more on air?
I wish they had shown Amy Yasbeck. How did you know she was there? And you're right. She should have been able to accept a posthumous award for John.
I was glad Arrested Development won the Future Classic award. I love that show!
LOVED the Sex & the City spoof, although I thought Charlotte Rae died years ago. Oops...
How'd you like the Catwoman thing? Julie Newmar, can we say "plastic surgery"?

I agree about Lynda Carter! Dawn Wells, too! Now how did you see this post? I have so many posts that get buried, and this one doesn't even show up in the "Last 10 posts" thing have the time! LOL!

I watched yesterday morning, or at least parts of it (basketball was on at the same time). Lynda Carter & Dawn Wells still look great. George Lopez should have done a better job on his speech honoring John Ritter. The video clip montage was great though. There did seem to be less awards then I would have anticipated.

If you went to the john, got up to get a soda, or sneezed, you woulda missed it!

I was completely unaware of this show being on this year until I saw this post (So thanks!)
Anyway, armed with this info, I went straight to tv.yahoo.com and found the nest showing.
I missed the first hour (And thus the Cowsills) but thankfully it will be repeated many times it seems. Once I see their part of the show I should be able to tell you if it is the original Cowsills or not. (They were interviewed on VH-1 a couple of years ago because they were the basis for the Partridge family)
And that Sex in the City parody was hilarious! I've never seen the show but I am quite sure that was a dead-on impression of it in the future! Bea Arthur really did llike an older Jessica Parker! (Btw is that her name? "Jessica" I mean. Oh ya.. Iforgot the.Sarah part. LOL!
*sigh* I used to know the name of the other "Dawn" singer.. (was it "Brenda"??).

I've seen bits and pieces of the show, but have yet to see the whole thing. Hopefully I can catch it the next time it's on. I missed the Cowsills completely. Would have liked to have seen 'em. Missed Tony Orlando and Dawn, too, but I can tell you the other gal's name: Joyce Vincent Wilson. You're welcome. Lynda Carter did look great. Much better than a lot of the people there who've been keeping the plastic surgeons in business. (Farrah Fawcett, to name one. Tina Louise, to name two. I could go on. LOL). Even Billy Bob Thornton, of all people, looked like he'd had some work done. He looked different. Notice I said different. Not necessarily better. Ha! Loved the Sex and the City parody, although Bea Arthur looked pretty scary. But it was a funny skit. I was disappointed with the John Ritter tribute too. I didn't know Amy Yasbeck was there, but I did see John's son Jason. I think they should have done a better job with the tribute. Overall, I liked what I saw of the show. I'll have to catch the rest of it soon.
