They were showing "The Last Waltz" (The Band. Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, EmmyLou-nefore she was gray-Harris, Eric Clapton, Dr John, Neil Diamond, etc)
Also an "ABBA" Concert movie, and "The Song remains The Same". (I'm not much of a Zeppelin fan so I didn't mind missing that last one)
But this was defintely one of those times when it would've been nice to have a NORMAL vcr. (Mine is built in to the tv and I can only watch the show I am taping and vice-versa)
My main purpose in tv life last night was to tape the "Uncut" Twilight Zone episodes SCi-Fi was showing but I kept flipping back to "the Waltz" on commercials. I caught Dr John during one such break and a bit of Emmy Lou.
One time when I turned there Joni Mitchell had just finsihed her song. I would like to have heard more (Especially if she sang "Radio" or "..Taxi")
Btw, obviously "The Band" was/were the Stars because they seemed to be there almost every time I cheked back. But at least they sang the only songs of theirs I know: "Take aLoad off"--o whatever it's called (I don't recall if I ever heard the title) and "The Night they Drove Old Dixie Down"
The only song I was able to catch from The ABBA movie was a tad bit of "Fernando". I believe I would have enjoyed this movie for the "sing-along" factor, had I actually been able to see it

I guess that's what I miss by having to work on New Year's Eve. I would have loved to have recorded The Last Waltz & the Song Remains the Same. I have both those concert/movies on vinyl, and they are great concert albums. The Abba thing would have been nice to.

Those are the only two they NEVER show! - and the only two I don't have.

Rali, did the Twilight Zone marathon include either "An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge" or "The Encounter" ? Those are the only two they NEVER show! - and the only two I don't have. First of all, my apologies for not replying sooner (Sorry) Second of all, my apologies for not knowing (Sorry) However, I am pretty sure I remember seeing the "Owl Creek Bridge" episode listed on Sci-Fi sometime in the past few months--just not sure whether or not it was during the marathon Btw, is the storyline therein anything like that Henry Fonda movie of a similiar name? (Or is it JUST a similiar name??)
