Did any of you catch it, at the end of the CMT Top 100 Songs of Country?
All I can say is, it was ON!
To be honest with you, as GREAT as Tammy's was, and it will never be replaced as a legendary piece, I think Martina did it justice, and took it to another level with her powerful voice.
If you did not catch it tonight, you owe it to yourself to catch it is reruns this week!!

You beat me to it! That's exactly why I decided to stop by here.. so I could mention her performance of Stand By Your Man -- Holy cow, does she kick some ass or what?!
My thoughts.. exactly. You said it right there, the very thing I had in my mind as she sang. She was incredible, and there's no doubt in my mind, she did the song justice. I applauded her at the end, right along with the audience.

That was truly a great performance. I can see why the producers (or whoever) chose Martina to sing it. Just excellent!

She was outstanding! That's a difficult song to sing, but she captured the essence of Tammy's original while making it her own. She has such a wonderful voice!
