Flipping channels tonight and Much Music (our MTV in Canada) is showing Queen Rock Montreal - a concert from 1981 (around there) in Montreal. Seeing as how I never got to see them perform live, this is the next best thing.
I have always been a fan - what a great voice Freddie had, and what variety of music they produced! A life cut short, who knows what he might have accomplished had he lived longer. Perhaps more operatic style like Barcelona. Who knows.
Anyway, thought I would share.

Queen is in my list of all time favorite groups, and I agree that Freddie had a fantastic voice. I'd heard that he wanted to be an opera star, but IMO, his voice just wasn't powerful enough for that. In Barcelona, for instance, I think he gets drowned out by Montserrat Caballe. |

Cool! Although I like later hits like Crazy Little Thing, Under Pressure and even Radio Ga-Ga, I'd like to see a full concert from back when Freddie had the Dutch boy hairdo!
