One thing these divas have in common- they're all a little mental.
Mariah and Whitney both seem to have longevity. Mariah's been around since 1990, I think. And Whitney's been around since the 80's. I'm interested to see how far Christina gets.
I admire Mariah and Christina for writing a lot of their own material. As for Whitney, I don't think she could spell the word "pen".

Ok, my computer has a mind of it's own. I wasn't quite done with my post... When it comes to singing ability. I think they all have God given voices. Whilst Mariah impresses us with making sounds that only dogs can hear, Whitney and Christina Aguilera sing by hollering out vocals. I can't decide which is worse, Whitney belting out "I Will Always Love You" or Christina singing that terrible cover of "Lady Marmalade". I suppose the latter is worse. I guess I would go with Whitney. I have to admit, I liked her cover of "Do You Hear What I Hear" on the first Very Special Christmas album. And I thought her first album had some ok songs. But I pick Whitney mainly for the fantastic gossip that I read about her in the tabloids. I've spent many times in the check out line at my supermarket reading about Whitney being "tired and emotional". I'm sure Mariah will be back on her feet in no time. Mariah is every record company executive's dream...she can sing, she looks good and she sells records by the truck load. Christina Aguilera- she sounds a lot like Mariah at times. I wonder if she'll stay dirrty or if she'll clean up her act...

Oh man, how about death by stabbing, shooting or hanging? I think that would be better! Ok, to be fair, yes, I too thought Whitney did a somewhat decent job on Do You Hear What I Hear? Mariah, well, my wife USED to like her EARLY albums. Christina has become a tramp. Ok, my wife does have that first album and at the time, I thought those first couple of singles were not BAD. I wouldn't have bought them, but my wife had them. So I guess I'll give Christina the nod.

Now,I may be in a minority here.....but I really think that Miss Houston has spent too much time frying her brain with old Bobby.

All great voices, and mental unstabilities aside, Whitney wins my vote.

Here's my two cents:
Whitney Houston = Great voice, very gifted musically but her voice has eroded over time due to excesses. So much talent, even if I never liked her music...it's a shame to see her descent into addiction. Her attitude and her denial are very unpleasant. Might never be the same again...
Mariah Carey = Absolutely amazing voice. She always tends to overdo it on her songs though. Again, not someone I care to listen to voluntarily. Has some issues. I can't deny her talent though.
Christina Aguilera = Still going through a delayed teenage rebellion. Whether she'll continue to be...um...skanky in the future remains to be seen. Another superb voice (unlike her contemporaries Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson, Mandy Moore, et. al). Should have several more years of hits IF she limits her partying which is said to be excessive.
Best voice = Mariah Favorite = Christina

I don't know what she sees in Bobby. I thought for sure they'd be divorced by now. When I first found out they were getting married, I thought they wouldn't make it through a year.
