Is it me...or do these bands kind of sound alike? I even get Chicago mixed up with them sometimes.
"Lady", "Hold The Line", "Take It Easy On Me"..."Africa"..."Rosanna"..."Reminising" ..."I Love You"..."Couldn't Get It Right"..."The Lonesome Loser".
I can never get which band sings what. But it's all good soft rock.

I was JUST about to PM you to ask you to do another one! SPOOKY!
I always associate Little River Band with America. Maybe it's because my wife and I both love them and play the crap out of their greatest hits discs.
I would say the 80's Toto stuff sounds like Little River Band. And I Love You has a sort of LRB sound to it. But then again, that song stands out special to me as it is my and my wife's song!
To compare the three, well my fave is Little River Band. I love basically the whole GH disc. I Love You is my number one song of all time, so give Climax Blues Band some credit. Toto I wish would have come out with more rockers before doing stuff like I'll Be Over You.

We were driving in the car the other day and heard "Reminising" on the radio. We got into a 20 minute discussion over who sang the song. At first we thought it was Chicago, then Toto, etc...

LOL about the discussion! I could see how you would get confused. I just happen to be a lite rock expert that's all. So do Firefall and Ambrosia get mixed in there too?

You're right - they do sound a lot alike. Player is another group with that great soft-rock sound.
Of the three, I would have to go with Little River Band. I have a lot of memories of listening to their music when I was younger, and both 'It's a Long Way There' and 'Reminiscing' are among my very favorite songs.
Toto would be second. I especially like their earlier, more rock-oriented tracks like 'Hold the Line' and 'I'll Supply the Love'.
I only know the two biggest Climax Blues Band hits, and both are great. I need to check out their music more closely someday.

Funny how we can think a band from Australia, Los Angeles, & England all sound alike. I'm not all that familiar with The Climax Blues Band (I think it's more I don't remember them). Like Dawn, I need to check out their music a little more closely. Of Toto's music, my favorites are their four top 10 hits. The clear winner here for me is Little River Band. I've practically wore their Greatest Hits CD and the four vinyl albums I own. Very consistent group with a string of top 40s. Reminiscing & Lonesome Loser are my favorites by LRB.

So do Firefall and Ambrosia get mixed in there too? Thanks, dear! Yes, Fireball, Ambrosia, Chicago, Pablo Cruise, Player....they all sound alike to me. But I love all of that soft rock. I always crank up my radio whenever I hear those songs!
