(Saw this a few days ago & didn't get a chance to respond yet--good lineup here BTW) Steely Dan-Hall of Famers. As a kid, I thought of them as annoying mellow groovy parents music. MAN, did I turn around! I know list them among my faves. Love 'em, love 'em, love 'em! ("Annoying mellow groovy parents music"?--Well, I'm a parent now too LOL) I just recently bought a used copy of "Aja" at Record Exchange (I love that place!). I _almost_ got "Two Against Nature" (the one that got them their first Grammy a couple of years ago)--I have heard NONE of the songs from it, but it's Steely Dan, it ought to be good, right? Well, they also had "Aja" and I know most of the songs from that, but didn't have it yet, so I got that. Favorite songs? You gotta be kidding--they have so many good ones! ;D I know they have a new CD out, but I haven't heard that yet. BTW, I did have another Steely Dan album, "Can't Buy a Thrill" (their very 1st one, I think) on cassette. But a few years ago, I was soooo broke I wound up selling a bunch of my cassettes, figuring I'd buy 'em again on CD if I found them for a good price. So I took all my tapes to Record Exchange and they bought quite a few of them, including that one. So I've still got my eye out for a CD copy of that one.

Starbuck--Like everyone else, am only familiar with Moonlight Feels Right. It's an OK song.
Edwin Starr--War is okay if definitely overplayed; would also like to hear 25 Miles more often(I was telling my other half the other day that the narrator of the song must be burning some serious shoe leather, since he covers twenty miles in about three minutes! ;D).
Ringo Starr--Very underrated solo career, IIRC, his was actually the most successful chart-wise during the first half of the 70s. Faves: It Don't Come Easy, Photograph, Back Off Boogaloo, No No Song.
Status Quo--Heard of them, but have never heard any of their music.
Steely Dan--Not one of my absolute favorites, but did have some good tunes. Faves--Do It Again, Reeling In The Years, Dirty Work.

Edwin Starr-They replayed Rock Rythm and Soul recently on our local PBS station and his redo of 25 miles was the only song I wanted to hear again. I'm glad he was able to appear on that show.
Ringo Starr-Well, I like his version of "Act Naturally" the best. (Even managed to find a video clip of him singing it on the Sullivan show)
Status Quo-Were it not for Dave's 70s Battle--and Kaaza, I would never have known that Pictures of Matchstick Men IS one of all-time faves. ;D
Steely Dan-I couldn't get enough of 'em in the 70s. Now? I've had enough. (For the most part)
