Eh. Another off day today with this list for me. Stone Temple Pilots - YUK. Plush was so overplayed on Headbangers Ball, and it isn't my style anyway. Stray Cats - all the songs sound the same. I don't like any of them. Really didn't like the Brian Setzer Orchestra either. Barbara Streisand - I respect her talent, but not her attitude. Favorites: Don't Rain On My Parade, Stoney End, Guilty Stylistics - too mellow for me. Styx - they're passable. Favorites: Too Much Time On My Hands, Lady, Come Sail Away - NOT anything from Mr. Roboto (wasted my money on that one). I also liked Desert Moon by Dennis DeYoung. Boy, you don't like anything on this day, do you?

Stone Temple Pilots - This is a group I've just started to become familiar with, and what I've heard so far is pretty good. Favorites: Vasoline, Interstate Love Song. Stray Cats - This group definitely stood out from the pack back in the early 80's, with a very unique retro sound. I really like the three songs you mentioned, but haven't heard any of their others. Barbra Streisand - I'm not fond of the "diva" aspect of her personality, but there's no denying her talent. She does have a wonderful voice, and I like quite a few of her songs. Favorites: The Way We Were, Evergreen, Woman in Love, Guilty, What Kind of Fool, You Don't Bring Me Flowers (with Neil Diamond), Memory. Stylistics - One of the premier soul groups of the early-to-mid 70's. I love the arrangements and harmonies - just an all-around great sound. Favorites: You Make Me Feel Brand New, You Are Everything, Betcha By Golly, Wow, People Make the World Go Round, Heavy Fallin' Out, Disco Baby. Styx - I've always really enjoyed their music, and have never quite understood the critical lashing they've received. Favorites: Renegade, Lady, Lorelei, Blue Collar Man, Come Sail Away, The Grand Illusion, Fooling Yourself, Babe, The Best of Times, Too Much Time on My Hands, Sing for the Day. I am sure your husband would like the first two STP albums.

Hey, how 'bout the Sex Pistols? Not that I'm a big fan, but I would like to read some opinions about them. Stone Temple Pilots--I have one of their cd's. Don't think I ever listened to it. LOL! I can't even think of how any of their songs go, although the titles that I've been reading here sound familiar. That Scott Weiland guy is pretty messed up, isn't he? Stray Cats--Love 'em. Really enjoyed their sound, and I find myself listening to them a lot even these days. Brian Setzer is quite talented. Faves: Pretty much everything. Barbra Streisand--Mixed feelings about her. She's definitely a force to be reckoned with in the entertainment world. Can't deny her talent. But I'm just not a real big fan of hers overall. She's made a few movies I enjoyed, and has had several songs I don't mind listening to occasionally. But she just seems a little too "high maintenance" for me. LOL! I'm usually a fan of more "down to earth" type people. But I did like "A Star is Born" and used to listen to the soundtrack all the time. And the "Guilty" album is ok, too. Stylistics--Not normally a big fan of this type of music, but for some reason, I love the Stylistics. Their songs meant a lot to me when I was a kid. Just thinking about that now makes me a little nostalgic. Might have to invest in a Hits CD sometime soon. Styx--Oh yeah! Lots of memories of them. Excellent band, great songs. Their "Behind the Music" on VH-1 was very interesting. The VH-1 BTM-Dennis' ego was a little large, wasn't it?

Stone Temple Pilots- Heard of them, but don''t know their music Stray Cats- Decent group. Rock This Town really brings you back to the '50s. Also like Stray Cat Strut and 17. Barbra Streisand- My wife loves her! She has a bunch of her albums, and I've taped a couple of her HBO concerts for her. Barbra has a huge amount of talent but an even bigger ego. Some of her work is quite good, but some is atrocious. (Did you ever see or hear the soundtrack for Yentl? ) Barbra actually has a song in my all time top 250: Woman In Love (written by Barry Gibb with the Bee Gees singing backup) Other faves: People, Second Hand Rose, Stony End, The Way We Were, Memory (from "Cats") Stylistics- My fave today! Love Russell Thompkins Jr.'s falsetto and Airon Love's baritone. Group took their name from an uncle's clothing store. Sounds are similar to the Delfonics and the Moments but they blow both of those groups away! Three songs in my all time top 250: Betcha By Golly Wow - top 100, You Make Me Feel Brand New, and You Are Everything. Other faves: Stone In Love With You, Break Up To Make Up, Rockin Roll Baby, Let's Put It All Together, Stop Look and Listen to Your Heart, You'll Never Get To Heaven If You Break My Heart. People Make The World Go Round Styx- I never listen to critics! I like them. They have a top 250 song also: Babe. Other faves: Come Sail Away, Lady, The Best of Times, Don't Let It End, Mr. Roboto A Woman in Love is another good tune by her!

Lady (the 1995 version BITES) I didn't know there WAS one. A lot of artists tend to remake their own songs at one time or another, though. Sometimes, the results are good. But most of the time, a good idea to follow is "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

Stone Temple Pilots - I've heard them on the radio and they're ok. Don't have anything by them. I'll have to investigate them further.
Stray Cats - Rock this Town & Stray Cat Strut are the only two songs I know. Both are good songs.
Barbra Streisand - Stoney End is the only song I like and that one just barely. I don't like Ms. Streisand or her music.
Stylistics - Another soft soul group that grew up out of Philly in the 70s. Not bad, but the sound just got old after awhile. Favorites: You Make Me Feel Brand New, You Are Everything, I'm Stoned in Love with You.
Styx - A top 60 all - time favorite group (#33). Prefer the 70s Styx to the music in the 80s. One of the most memorable concerts I've been to was seeing Styx in London in 1980, they are awesome live. I've never tried to figure my favorite albums, but I think Grand Illusion would rate out very high on the list. Great great band. Favorites: Come Sail Away, Renegade, Babe, Suite Madame Blue, Grand Illusion, Fooling Yourself, Lady.
