Hey Adam. I wouldn't mind seeing your Insane List. I don't think I caught all of it over on YL anyway, and what we did see got lost with YL's demise. I've been thinking of starting to post my Top 250 one of these days, but probably not for a while anyway. (Too many other "projects") Oh, and I just got a PM from Shane, who said he would love to see your Insane List, and hopes that Stacey Q will be well represented. --And I got another PM from Arnie, who said that Hey Jude better be #1 or else. ;D ;D Toby Keith- Don't know him Tim McGraw- I know he's a big country star, but I'm not familiar with his music. Kid Rock-Heard of him, don't know his music. (Didn't even know he was white!) Sex Pistols- Heard of them. Don't know their music. Don't wanna know their music. Don't like punk in general. Smiths- Heard of them, don't know their music. (I'm on a roll) Spin Doctors- D@mn! I was so close to a clean sweep. I heard of these guys, and know their two hits. Little Miss Can't Be Wrong and Two Princes. They're both not bad. I have them both on a compilation I made from my son's cds. Thanks H2, and I think you SHOULD do your list!! I know I want to see it! There will be plenty of Stacey Q and of course Hey Jude will be number 1! Yep, Kid is white, pretending to be black.

By all means, go for it! I only got to see the last 700 songs or so on YL, but that was one of the features I enjoyed the most, and one of the main reasons I signed up there last October. Toby Keith - I've heard a few of his songs, but the only one that really stands out for me is 'Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue'. I agree, that squabble with the Dixies needs to end. Tim McGraw - I've never been too fond of him, although there are a few songs of his that I don't mind listening to. Favorite: Let's Make Love. Kid Rock - I can't say I'm familiar with any of his music. Sex Pistols - They definitely had a lot of influence, but I never got into them. The Clash is more my style. ;D Smiths - This is a group I need to investigate further. 'How Soon is Now' has a great sound, but I'm not familiar with much of their material beyond that. Spin Doctors - As with the Smiths, a group I need to check out more closely sometime. 'Little Miss Can't Be Wrong' has some excellent guitar work in it! Thanks Dawn! I know I started to send you some of the older lists, but this will be easier for you to see, in smaller doses! If you liked Little Miss, you'll like their other hits.

Wasn't thinking of too much of these 6 artists, save the last one. BTW, do an updated INSANE list!!! Toby Keith--an older co-worker of mine liked his music. Just couldn't get into it too much; surprisingly, never heard of "Beer for my horses". Can't say I have any strong faves. Tim McGraw--not bad, as far as modern country singers go. His earliest stuff was his best, IMO. Make "Please remember me" STOP!!! Still, gimme Billy Ray anyday. SHHHH! Faves: Indian outlaw I like it, I love it It's your love (w/Faith Hill) Don't take the girl Kid Rock--Not the worst, but I've heard "Picture" is overplayed. I kinda tolerated him back around 1999 and 2000. Little known fact: His first album was way back in 1993! Still, give me EMINEM's "My name is" (none of HIS other stuff, though!) anyday! No strong faves, can tolerate "Only God knows why". Sex Pistols--Be afraid. Be VERY afraid. Way too radical for their time. I can tolearate "God save the Queen", "Pretty vacant" and "Anarchy in the U.K.". Smiths--Maybe not too surprisingly, I know Morrissey's solo stuff MUCH more than the Smiths' tunes. Amazingly, did not have their records at college. So as a consolation, I will list the 3 Smtihs songs I've heard, plus my fave solo tunes. How soon is now Panic Please let me get what I want Morrissey solo: The more you ignore me... (easily) We hate it when our friends become successful November spawned a monster Tomorrow Ouija board, ouija board Suedehead Our Frank Last of the famous international playboys Piccadilly Palare Billy Budd Sing your life Spin Doctors--YES! I was seriously thinking about asking you to put them in, but I forgot. "Kryptonite" should have a place in my top 500 albums--coming next year on the Click, I hope! My big 3 REAL rock groups of the mid 90's were the Gin Blossoms, Hootie & the Blowfish & these dudes. The Blossoms and the Doctors have already broken up, and Hootie's album from earlier this year bombed. How sad. One of the main reasons why music in the 90's was still good. But up till around 1998, "2 princes" was WAAAAAAAAAAAY overplayed!!! But now that I've heard it practically zilch times in the last 5 years, it would actually be GOOD to hear again sometime! I think the lead singer, Christopher Barron, has had vocal trouble in the last few years--stay strong. And the biggest slap in the face? A 1996 release that failed to chart. Faves: (A good list here!) Little miss can't be wrong You let your heart go too fast Cleopatra's cat Jimmy Olsen's blues (AKA Pocket full of kryptonite) She used to be mine (from their 1996 flop) How could you want him Two princes What time is it Big fat funky booty Shinbone alley Off my line More than meets the ear More than she knows Mary Jane Refrigerator car Indifference Forty or fifty Biscuit head "GO S-U!!!" ;D ;D next week... (Cute pun, smittykins will know what I mean! Thanks Dave, I will! Yeah, Kid has actually had quite a few albums, just on smaller labels.

So, Adam, are you saying that we need to get out of the mustard, and KETCHUP? Heehee. You won't believe this, but I actually thought about your INSANE list earlier today, and wondering if you might want to feature it on the Click. I'd be happy to read and comment on it again. Toby Keith--Used to like him a lot, now I'm just kinda tired of him and his attitude. Having said that, there are a few songs of his that I enjoy: How You Like Me Now, I Wanna Talk About Me, You Ain't Much Fun, Who's That Man, couple more...As far as that "Beer for My Horses" song--PLEASE make it stop. I didn't like it the first 75 times I heard it, and I don't like it now. Ick! Tim McGraw--Don't like his voice. Kinda whiny, especially on "Don't Take The Girl". What an awful song. My favorite by him is "I Like It I Love it". My niece, who was 8 or 9 at the time, absolutely loved this song, and would sing it for the family. She had a little dance she made up to go with it. It was just too cute. So I have fond memories of that song. Kid Rock--He's a guilty pleasure of mine. I listened to "Devil Without a Cause" a whole lot a couple of years ago. Might have to get it out and play it again, just for old time's sake. From what I've seen of him at award shows and such, he's quite a performer. I wish he'd wash his hair, though. ;D Sex Pistols--Don't know much about their music. I did see the movie "Sid and Nancy" and thought it was quite good. Also read the book "And I Don't Want to Live This Life", about Nancy Spungeon's life. And death. Very interesting. And tragic. Never listened to the Pistols' music much. But the group fascinates me nonetheless. Smiths--Always heard about them, but was never interested in listening to their music. Spin Doctors--Used to get them mixed up with the Black Crowes, for some reason. I have since figured out who's who. Pretty good group. Shoulda stayed around longer. Oh well... Thanks Kath, I'm looking forward to doing the list again! Maybe if you wash Kid's hair, you can become one of his ho's! LOL!

Yes, I would like to see your "insane list" with comments about each song! That would be fun, and your comments would make it even more fun to read! Thanks Laura, I'm getting excited about re-doing it!

I have no problem with Ketchup day, but The Ketchup Song kinda sorta sucks. And speaking of forgotten, did you forget OMD (Orchestral Maneuvers In The Dark)? I can't remember. If you did, please put them on the list............ Toby Keith - Eh. I find him obnoxious. Tim McGraw - Mr. Faith Hill. I watched his Biography, and it was kind of interesting about his personal life growing up, but I don't like any of his songs. I don't like the "I Like It I Love It" song, or Don't Take The Girl, and although he can't, I do understand why our Native Americans got a little upset over his Indian Outlaw song. He uses every stereotypical indian reference there is, and he's not Native American himself. Kid Rock - eh. My husband likes him. The thing I don't care for about him is he tries to make himself out to be this From-The-Hood guy, but he comes from a priveleged rich background. Sex Pistols - around for a short time, they brought punk forward. No matterwhat you think, they are an important part of music history. Favorites: God Save The Queen, Anarchy In The UK. Smiths - I didn't request them because I only know 2 of their songs, but I like what I've heard, and will be checking them out more when I have some more $$ on the recomendation of Pete. Favorites: How Soon Is Now, Let Me Get What I Want Spin Doctors - never really cared for them. Thought their stuff all kind of sounded alike. Can't say I know The Ketchup Song! Look for OMD today! It's funny, everyone calls him Mr Faith Hill, yet he's had more hits than her! Ok, I couldn't remember if you recommended the Smiths to Pete or vice versa!

YIKES! Who is it by and when is it from? It's by some Hispanic girl group and came out last year. Sort of the latest version of the Macarena or the Electric Slide. The dance is just as silly too

Thanks Ken, I appreciate the support! I wonder if Spin Doctors are playing locally somewhere? I wondered about that myself - I'm amazed at how many of these bands are still touring.

Toby Keith & Tim McGraw - Heard of them, but don't really know their music well enough to make an opinion.
Kid Rock - I like what I see him do on TV (Grammys, MTV Music Awards, etc), but I don't own anything by him and don't know his music that well. Thought the Coors commercial was funny (You said early man)
Sex Pistols - Didn't like them.
Smiths - Don't know them
Spin Doctors - Heard of them, don't know their music.
I don't remember your insane list from YL, so it would probably be fun.
