I haven't been on much for this party but I had a garage sale on Fri and Sat and then a party last night. But looks like we've had a good turnout with many returnees and new signups! And LOTS of posting! COOL!
I've thought about this topic many times. Rather than listing your least favorite songs in general (because let's face it, I'd just be listing all of Michael Bolton's songs!), I thought name songs you really can't stand by artists you otherwise like or love!
And I don't mean to just list a least fave if the song isn't that bad to you. (Example-I have no Bealtes on this list because if my least fave by them are tolerable to me. Ok, maybe not Revoltion 9....)
Here are some of the songs I really can't stand by artists I usually like:
Big Love-Fleetwood Mac
Didn't like it then, really don't like it know. Hate the "uh-ah, uh-ah" and the guitar work annoys me. Actually Family Man is even worse, but this was the bigger, more well known hit.
Two Hearts, Another Day in Paradise-Phil Collins
Phil was really losing me at this point. And he didn't need to cover Groovy Kind of Love either. However, the album track Find a Way to My Heart is my all time fave from him.
Money Talks-AC/DC
"Come on, come LISten to the money talk...." Annoying me from first listen.
Rag Doll-Aerosmith
The other day the Rock station here was making fun of the Timeless rock station by saying, "You don't have to listen to this-'Bend Me, Shape Me anyway you want me....-to listen to this" and they played Rag Doll. Ok, so a pop song is bad but a horribly dorky song that sounds like it should be from the 30's is ok??
Have You Ever Really Love a Woman?-Bryan Adams
"Have you ever really, really, really, really, really...." He lost me at this point.
In Too Deep-Genesis
Bah. Bad attempt at a slowie like Taking it All Too Hard, their BEST song.
Her Strut-Bob Seger
Not a huge Seger fan, but I have a few faves. This is NOT one of them. His scratchy voice on this annoys me.
Big Fat Money, Sucker in a Three Piece-Van Halen
The draw back of knowing every song by an artist is you know the REALLY bad along with the good. There are certain things about Hagar that annoy me and they all come out in these two songs. He tries WAY too hard to be cool. Especially all the little phrases in Sucker.
Distractions-Paul McCartney
Ever listen to this? Engelbert Whatshisdink would think this song was too square!
One-U2
Another case of "U2 can do no wrong". Never cared for this.
Well, there's 10 to start. I'll add more later.
Let's have yours!
