Hi folks - I haven't been here that long but thought to share some diversity of my musical tastes and by all means, I'd love to hear yours as well. I'm not sure if this is the right area to post so maybe the mods might want to move it.On the bottom of my posts, you'll see a pic of a band called "Coheed & Cambria." They have been one of my favourite 'newer' bands for quite sometime (when I say 'newer', year 2000 and up). Also, my avatar at RL is of Claudio Sanchez (singer/guitarist) of C&C. Instead of actually explaining about the band, songs, etc., here's a link to 'youtube' of their acoustic rendition of "Wake Up." Tell me what you think.... www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z5bCeoDibDI

Tell me what you think.... www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z5bCeoDibDIIt's a very pretty ballad, berjo. I must admit that I'm a little put off with the singer's (I assume that's Claudio Sanchez?) voice. His look and his voice don't seem to jibe at all. I'd probably like it better if I wasn't looking at him while he was singing. LOL! But I would be interesting in hearing more.

Tell me what you think.... www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z5bCeoDibDIThank you (you can call me Pete or Peter or my nic Berjo I hope you (and others) have read the start of my original post stating my diversity of music AND wanting to hear from others as well (regarding their diversity). In other words, I'm not plugging "Coheed & Cambria" but merely my eclectic sapor of music & (music) genres. Like many things in life (foods, beverages, etc.), we also need an acquired taste for what's appealing. With that in regard, that's why IMO there's no "best guitarist, best band, best song, etc." However, that's not to say I don't enjoy people's lists of "favourite song, favourite artist, etc." for I LOVE THEM!! As aforementioned, Claudio (Coheed & Cambria), like many other singers/performers, would need that 'acquired taste.' However, THAT can be argued as well for many (like myself) feels his voice/music hits home. Again, not a statement of who's right/wrong but allowing ourselves to like/dislike without the influence of others. I only chose that one video for it's one of very few that's not their typical labelled genre (heavy, emo-punk, progressive-metal, etc.) BUT to at least hear his voice; the uniqueness. I enjoy male singers with a higher than usual range (Nick Gilder, Geddy Lee, etc.). Maybe (probably) that's why I'm comfortable with Claudio. Anyway, any diversity in your tastes??
