You know JDB, it's nice to see another Little Feat fan on the boards. I love the music. My favorite underrated band would be John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers.

Definitely agree with Badfinger; a very talented group of guys.
Quicksilver Messenger Service El Chicano (great early '70s Latin rock, reminiscent of early Santana) Starbuck Emitt Rhodes (an amazing talent; he could have gone far had Dunhill not been so greedy)

Yes, I have all four of his albums plus his Listen, Listen collection, and there are many wonderful songs on those. I just wish Dunhill hadn't been so aggressive about the contract requirements and caused him to become so disillusioned with the industry. Not that I blame him; two albums a year is a tall order for any artist, much less someone who was doing all the writing, vocals, instruments, recording and mixing himself, plus trying to tour as well. I've corresponded a few times with a friend of Emitt's, and she mentioned that he's been working on some great new material. I hope it's released soon; would love to hear more music from him.

I have three of his albums on vinyl plus that Listen, Listen collection as well as the Merry Go Round album on vinyl and a M-G-R collection on CD. It's a real shame what Dunhill did to him. That's very cool about the correspondence. I read that he was still recording new material. I also read that he was thinking of releasing some unreleased material but was once again afraid of being ripped off.

Ok, I'm gonna toss these bands out there as being underrated simply because year after year, the Rock & Roll Hall Fame has not even given them a nomination.
Chicago Blood, Sweat, & Tears Moody Blues Guess Who 5th Dimension Electric Light Orchestra Cheap Trick
Oh Yeah, and John Mayall still ain't in.
Feel free to add other bands ignored by the Rockhall nomination process.

Feel free to add other bands ignored by the Rockhall nomination process. I've gotten so that I really don't give a crap who's in the Hall of Fame and who isn't. I don't need some bunch of elitists (journalists, or whatever the h311 they are) to tell me what I should like and what I shouldn't like. I know what I like, thank you.
