Hi dodger! I like Roberta Flack's solo material also, especially 'Feel Like Makin' Love'. It's such a mellow, relaxing song, perfect for her voice. 'Alone Again (Naturally)' is truly a classic, and one of my favorites of his also. I can't figure out why oldies stations don't play more of his hits - I hear this one occasionally, but that's about it. One of the problems I found with radio station in general and those stations that play what I call "the old AM rock" in particular is their playlists do not seem to be as extensive as they could be. To quote Aerosmith, "It's the same old song & dance" every day on the radio. My station of choice, KMKF (K-Rock or Pure Rock), FM 101.5 here in Manhattan, KS plays a nice blend of the classic rock from the 70s & 80s and the newer rock of the 90s and onward. Kinda of keeps me current & I get the older classic rock tunes as well. Anyway, that's my rant for the day. BTW their website is "purerock.com" if you want to check it out.

I know what you mean, dodger. It just doesn't seem as though there's any depth to the playlists of most stations. The station you mentioned sounds pretty good, though. The classic rock stations here are starting to play newer music, but they play the same older classics over and over. I wish they would play more deep album cuts for variety, but they pretty much stay with the very well-known songs.

I can remember growing up in So Cal, there were two FM stations, KMET & KLOS whose playlists were almost exclusively album cuts. Back in the late 60s/early 70s, it wasn't unusual to hear them play an entire side of an album, commerical free. Ah, the good ole days.

I wish stations would return to that kind of format these days. There are so many excellent album cuts that never receive any airplay.
