You Should Be Dancing--It's only been in the past few years that I figured out that one of the lines in the song is "Whatcha doin' on your back". I could never understand what they were singing. LOL!

Let 'Em In--Nice tune. An easy song to sing along to.

Moonlight Feels Right--One of my all time favorite songs. Had the 45, and played the life out of it. Remember seeing Starbuck on some show back then--Midnight Special, maybe? Anyway, I always thought the lead singer was so cool.

Love Is Alive--Cool song. Not heard much anymore.

Don't Go Breaking My Heart--Another favorite song of mine. Really like this one.

LOL about 'Afternoon Delight'! I used to do the very same thing, with no idea of what the words really meant!

I could never understand that line in 'You Should Be Dancing' either - in fact, I didn't realize that's what it was until I read your post! They sing it so quickly, it's kind of hard to interpret.

I agree about 'Love is Alive' not being heard much these days. As I mentioned on my Lost Hits post from the other day, it's odd that 'Dream Weaver' gets regular airplay, but this song doesn't.

6. Rock & Roll Music - Another good one for the Beach Boys, just not my favorite version of this song.

5. You Should be Dancing - 2nd #1 on the Bee Gees comeback. More would come.

4. Let 'em In - Never really warmed to this song. It's good, just not a favorite from Paul. Maybe it's because it came out between Silly Love Songs & Maybe I'm Amazed, two songs I really love.

3. Moonlight Feels Right - Another song I never warmed to. It's good, just always changed the radio dial when it came on.

2. Love is Alive - Two straight #2s from Gary Wright. This one is just as good as Dream Weaver, although maybe not as well known.

1. Don't Go Breaking My Heart - Fun song from Elton & Kiki. I've always loved this song.

It's surprising that Lou had only one top 10 hit. I've heard some of his other songs like 'Groovy People' and 'A Natural Man', and they're really good.

I agree, 'Kiss and Say Goodbye' is the best of the three. It's really well done, with excellent vocals. I remember hearing it often that year!

You're welcome! I've always loved that one - does it ever bring back the memories!

I see copies of the Starbuck LP from time to time, and for the most part they've been in pretty good shape. Their second album Rock & Roll Rocket is a little harder to find, though. It's good also, although not quite as good as the first one.
