IMO Gino came out of nowhere with this tune back in 1985 . Here in Canada the song peaked at #6. (Does anybody know the Billboard chart position -Dawn ? Adam ? Dave? Pete? I only have the top 40 book and it's not listed) .
I bought the 45 back when it came out and have always really liked the song. . Now being a drummer I've never been a big fan of drum machines but I have to admit whoever programmed the drum track did a great job.

Great tune! And a big hit in Boston! I'm at work so I don't have my Hot 100 book with me, but I want to say it peaked somewhere in the 50's nationally.

This is a really good song - I'm surprised it didn't chart higher! It just missed making the top 40, peaking at #42.
