Good morning, Dawn! Wait a minute -- morning .. Dawn...isn't that redundant? sorry Many good ones today, including a top 250. 10. More Love - Not as good as Bette Davis Eyes, but very good nonetheless. Love her voice. 9. Let My Love Open the Door - His biggest solo hit. I always loved this song. Later on, when some of Peter's personal abberations were revealed, it was, unfortunately parodied into let my love open other things. 8. All Out of Love - My fave by them! All time top 250! This is a super song, and I love that looooong ending, that I think set a record at the time for how long the last note was held in a pop song. (15 seconds, I think) 7. Fame - Talked about this one many times. Great song! 6. It's Still Rock and Roll to Me - A great put-down of the many directions rock was taking in 1980. 5. Upside Down - One of her better solo efforts. Catchy tune. 4. Emotional Rescue - Not one of their best. 3. Take Your Time (Do It Right) - No thanks. 2. Sailing - Decent light pop. 1. Magic - I like earlier ONJ better, but this was not bad. Good melody. Probably the brightest spot in Xanadu.

Good morning, Dawn! Wait a minute -- morning .. Dawn...isn't that redundant? I love the emoticon too. That's my favorite one on this board. (Look--they all move the same way at once! Isn't that amazing?) Let's give them all a big , folks!) (quoting again) 4. Emotional Rescue - Not one of their best. I'm with ya there--it is pretty corny. Especially the talking part.

Hi Dawn:) 10. Wow I has totally forgot about this song , yes I remember hearing this at the time. 9.One of Pete's best solo tunes. Bought the 45 back in '80. 8."Taking a deep breath" Ok I admit that yes I bought this 45 at the time. I liked it! LOL 7.Yup remember it well yeah it was kind of a catchy tune. 6.Love the Glass Houses album - this is a great track. I've been hearing this quite a bit on the radio again in the last few months. 5.It was ok 4.This is the only Stones song that I don't like. Just terrible. A big mistake IMO. 3.Great disco tune 2.Such a fantastic song . I love it just as much now as I did then. A wonderful laid back feel. I remember seeing Christopher on The Midnight Special. 1.A good tune from Olivia!

Fame - I love this song. Have you ever heard Celine Dion's version? It's really great. She actually sang it way back before she knew English, so she didn't understand a word she was singing. Isn't that weird? Anyway, this is a really good song. I've always loved the lyrics. We did it in a "Great Songs from the Movies" revue at my school a few years ago. It was awesome. One of the greatest on-stage moments of my life.
Upside Down - Catchy tune. One of Di's solo best.
Sailing - I don't know this version. Too young I guess. But I know NSync's version. Very beautiful song with wonderful harmonies.

Not quite 7. Lots of time at the roller rink. Would have been going into 2nd grade - Evil Mrs. Harkle-toad! I found our Holiday present from her the other day. In the Word Yahtzee box - a red pencil with "Happy Holidays from Mrs. Harclerode" on it. WOO-HOO! Let the good times roll..... 10) I can't place this one. I do know a song called this. It goes "More love and more joy than....." and I don't know the rest - is this it? I always thought it was someone else. 9) This is a good one, but the ending of Look Who's Talking kind of ruined it for me...... 8) LOVE this one - this is one of my faves by them. 7) Eh. The movie was ok, the tv show ok at first, but got old. I did want to go to that school, though. 6) I remember this one always being on the jukebox in the little rec room at the campground where our cabin was. 5) Eh. Never really like this one. I have it on either Soundwaves or Rock 80. 4) LOVE this one. It's a bit odd, but hey, it's the Stones. 3) No. Just no. 2) I liked Christopher ok, but not this song. Too mellow. 1) LOVE this one too. One of my faves by her.

I've always liked Pete's work as a musician, but that news about him was very disappointing. 'All Out of Love' is a song I don't hear too often these days, but I've always liked it. Many of their songs were really quite good. 'Upside Down' is catchy, I agree. I remember hearing it often back then, and it always makes me think of starting 7th grade - junior high school!

I agree, the Glass Houses album is great. He was definitely in top form when he recorded that one. 'Sailing' has always been a favorite of mine - I've always loved that mellow sound also. There's a greatest hits compilation of his that I'd like to get one of these days.

Very beautiful song with wonderful harmonies. I don't think I've ever heard Celine's version, but it would be interesting to hear her take on it. I remember reading somewhere about how she used to sing songs phonetically in the beginning. I imagine it was hard to give the words the right inflection that way, but I think she did a good job. I've always loved the lyrics to 'Fame' also - very inspirational when I'm feeling kinda down.

One of my faves by her. You're right about 'More Love' - that's the one! There's also a version by Smokey Robinson and the Miracles. I loved watching the TV show Fame during the first year or two it was on, but started to lose interest in it after some of the original characters left.

Pretty strong chart! 10. Good cover, she does a nice job. 9. Actually a good song, despite what it apparently means. Actually him being gay is NOTHING compared to what he did last year. 8. Not bad I guess, considering the group. 7. EH. Not a song I like. 6. Not too bad, but not a big Joel fan here. Actually have the single. 5. Not awful, not as bad as her ego. 4. AHHHHH!!! Everyone is so brutal on this one! I love it! So unique! The Stones go disco just as it's fading away. I loved it then, love it now! 3. Don't know it. 2. Again, not awful, but not great. 1. My fave from Ms. Neutron Bomb. Absolutely love it. The reason I stole her Greatest Hits Volume 2 from an ex girlfriend's friend.

What he did last year was incredibly disappointing - that's what I was referring to in my response to H2. Despite all that, I do still like the song. I remember 'Emotional Rescue' being pretty high on your list! It's something a little different for them. You stole the Greatest Hits?! Did she ever find out who took it?

I used to love watching the Fame TV series, but I've actually never seen the original movie. The title song did get a good amount of play back then, but it's held up pretty well over the years. I love the lyrics to 'It's Still Rock and Roll to Me' - white wall tires and narrow ties were all the rage back then!
