OK, here it is. Decided to break it up into two polls. Today covers 1962-66, or the Red Poll. Still, there are so many songs that could be listed that I had to come up with some kind of arbitrary list. Thus, the songs I listed all went to number one on the Billboard charts. I suspect other will probably get the most votes. For example, my favorite from this era is "Tell Me Why" . Coming tomorrow, the Blue Poll.

I voted for I Wanna Hold Your Hand.
I heard it for the first time on New Years Day 1964.The DJ was playing the 1963 Top 100, and interrupting it every 4th or 5th song to play I Wanna Hold Your Hand. I was mezmerized. I had never heard anything that sounded quite like it before. I'll never forget that day.
