All good songs (and plenty of others, too), but Goodbye To Love is my favorite.

I love the Carpenters' music! My favorite is 'Only Yesterday'.

I picked Yesterday Once More. Superstar is a very close #2. I read somewhere that Karen's bout with anorexia began when she read an article where some reviewer of a Carpenters concert said she looked a little chubby. What a d@mn tragedy!! RIP, Karen.

So many good songs, picked Goodbye to Love. Rainy Days & Mondays, Top of the World, Only Yesterday, & We've Only Just Begun round out the top 5.

"Close To You" tops my list. It brings back very very vague memories of being a toddler and hearing this song constantly on our stereo...images of my mother wearing miniskirts and my father with long hair and peace medallions...hard to believe now

For some reason I've always loved "Close to You". It's just so beautiful...I wish someone could feel that way about me.
I have to admit that another reason I like it is because it was sung on an episode of Will & Grace, and hearing the song makes me think of that episode. It always makes me smile, imagining Sean Hayes and Eric McCormack singing, and dancing, to the song. Ah.

Tough to choose just one. I went with Other for Hurting Each Other.

I voted other for "Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft"--same reason as I mentioned in the Lobo poll; it was a change of pace. A very "close" second would be "Close to You", because I used to sing it to Jonathan when he was a baby.

It's time to remember and celebrate Sharon Tate for who she was ... not what happened to her.

Was it ever hard to pick just one! I finally went with "Goodbye To Love;" after hearing "Close To You" 18 gazillion times it just doesn't do anything for me anymore. After seeing the Carpenters' TV movie, I'll always associate "Rainy Days and Mondays" with it because that's what they played during the opening scene(when the paramedics find Karen and rush her to the hospital). RIP, Karen.
