OK, I never saw this movie, but the soundtrack has some pretty good oldies tunes.
Songs not listed include:
Stranger On The Shore - Acker Bilk Money (That's What I Want) - Barrett Strong One Fine Day - The Chiffons Breakaway - Jesse Frederick
I voted for The Impressions.

I loved this movie!
I like most of the songs, but I loved the original song "Breakaway" and I vote for that.
Hector Elizondo was so good in that as the dad. "This is my house, my table, my food, see that picture? That used to be my dog!"

I debated between "It's All Right" and and "Heatwave", then went with the latter because it had no votes. (Poor thing!)

Great movie. Great soundtrack. I have the DVD and just watched it the other day. I'd say that One Fine Day is my favorite!

I loved this movie! I like most of the songs, but I loved the original song "Breakaway" and I vote for that. That song sounds very familiar to the opening track of another 80s movie called "Spring Break." I'm kinda wondering if it's the same artist. One of these days I'm gonna have to dig out the tape of it and take a look!

So many fine tunes to choose from - I'll go with The Impressions.
