We had a three-way tie for 1988's song! Each with 4 votes: Roll with it Need you tonight Handle with care
Although my top 3 of this year were all dance/rap hits, I'm gonna have to limit the choices now to mainstream songs, rock songs and easier songs.
Went with the B-52's!

YEESH!! Scary stuff, indeed!
Went with the B52's as well.
Speaking of REM at this time, just saw the video to Pop Song 89 again the other day-that was really one of their better songs!

[shadow=red,left,300]HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME??[/shadow]I want to vote for the B-52s soooo badly. I love that song!!!! But Bette is on the same poll. Oh, what is a girl to do?! I have to vote for Bette. I'd never forgive myself if I didn't. And, all in all, Wind Beneath My Wings is the better song. This is the first time I've ever been so torn though!

Although I do like "Love Shack," I went for REM. And Weird Al's parody, "Spam," ain't too shabby either.

Not to sound like an old fogey, but there's not much to like from this list. Love Shack is catchy but tremendously overplayed.
Love and Rockets' "So Alive" is the least irritating to me. Thus my vote.
