We had ourselves an exciting horse race! Amazingly, the Black Crowes failed to leave the starting gate! And here's Lenny Kravitz gaining, followed by Metallica, Queensryche and Jesus Jones! Former #1 choices by EMF, Amy Grant and Extreme are fallling behind! Now here's Lenny! Metallica! Lenny! Metallica...

1992 - and amazingly, I know about 5 of these. Went with Smells Like Teen Spirit. I think it's a great spoof of Al's Smells Like Nirvana.

Some good ones here. I voted for "Life is a Highway"--I wanna riiiiide it all night long, yeah yeah yeah yeah...Whoops, I'm getting carried away here; it's such a catchy song! "Beauty and the Beast" is one of my son's and my favorite movies (it was my mom's favorite too), but as for the song, I prefer the version sung in the movie by Angela Lansbury (as Mrs. Potts)--partly because the Bryson/Dion version (which was used for the closing credits) got overplayed on the radio, and partly because it's just so cute to see that little teapot singing! ;D

Normally, I wouldn't even dignify that "YIKES" comment with a response, but I happen to like both of those songs very much. My vote here, however, is going to Tears in Heaven, the only Clapton song that I actually like. |
