Well .. like I said earlier at least my top 6 Stones songs would come from this group. Actually it's my top 13. Miss You from the '70s is #14 !
I voted for You Can't Always Get What You Want, which is in my top 250 (at #111). Its followed by:
Time Is On My Side Under My Thumb Tell Me Let's Spend The Night Together Heart of Stone Not Fade Away Satisfaction Play With Fire As Tears Go By It's All Over Now Ruby Tuesday The Last Time

My choice could've been ANY one of these: Heart of Stone Last Time Play With Fire Have You Seen Your Mother, Baby, Standing... Under My Thumb Out of Time Ruby Tuesday We Love You Dandelion She's a Rainbow 2000 Light Years From Home Street Fighting Man Gimmie Shelter Monkey Man Honky Tonk Women
In the end, I narrowed it down to "Have You Seen Your Mother, Baby, Standing In The shadows", which sounds like it could've been a part of their "psychedelic phase" in late '67, but was actually much earlier in '66.

I would say it's a definate stepping stone in the change of their music! Much like in the liner notes on one of the Beach Boys' CD's, they pointed out how Little Girl I Once Knew was a link between the early surf songs and the later "mature" stuff. Also how the Beatles stuff was kinda linked on songs like I'm a Loser and Nowhere Man, from the early "She Loves You" type into their more mature stuff.

I chose Dandelion. Rounding out the top 5 would be Last Time (one of the very first songs I remember from my childhood!), Satisfaction, Gimme Shelter and Paint It Black.

Wow, once again - a tough call. There are lots of goodies here - I'm going to pick It's All Over Now.

I went with Paint It Black, but there were a number of songs that I could've voted for here, including: Ruby Tuesday Sympathy for The Devil You Can't Always Get...
I'm not much of a Stones fan though - especially their 60s stuff.

It's time to remember and celebrate Sharon Tate for who she was ... not what happened to her.

Not a huge Srones fan but I love "Paint It Black" ... I think of the TV series Tour of Duty from the late 80's (oddly enough they have released the whole series on DVD and replaced the original music with generic music ... sort of disappointing since I thought about buying the whole series)

Tour of Duty was where I first heard it. My dad used to watch that show.
