Others are:
Saturday Morning Confusion - Bobby Russell Sweet City Woman - The Stampeders One Fine Morning - Lighthouse Absolutely Right - Five Man Electrical Band It's a Cryin' Shame - Gayle McCormick
Several of these I've never even heard of. Went with Other for Bobby Russell, followed by The Stampeders and Lighthouse.

I was feeling kinda hungry, so I went with Timothy. ;D Crabby was a close second with Lighthouse third.

OK. This is one of the better CD's in the series, IMO. I've been anticipating this one, because picking one track to vote for is going to be tough. So I ranked them in order of prefference, like Dave does. Eventually I gave it to the Stampeders..
Here's my ranking:
Stampeders Lighthouse Crabby Appleton (If this poll were split like the first 4 volumes, I'd have voted for this for the first half) "Absolutely Right" (Very overlooked follow-up to "Signs") The Buoys John Kongos (Top-10 in England. This IS the song that Happy Mondays had a minor hit with in '91) "Signs" Lulu Gayle McCormick Bobby Russell (Light-hearted humor) Brewer and Shipley Pipkins (No, thanks..)

I went with Other, for 'One Fine Morning'. 'Timothy' would be a close second choice.

A huge fave of mine since high school days (Thanks Bob Mitchell). Crabby Appleton. ECSTATIC this made the series, and made my "Sweet 16" in my "Nice Day" battles a while back. Also-rans: Buoys (HUGE Syracuse hit) Five Man Electrical Band (Signs) Stampeders Pipkins Bobby Russell Lighthouse Gayle McCormick John Kongos (I knew Happy Mondays' version first too) 5MEB (Absolutely right) Lulu Brewer & Shipley (not as good as "Toke")
Pink color scheme, with a cool, fiber-light lamp thingy. Rating:8.9.

I don't remember if I voted on this, but right now it's a toss-up between Brewer & Shipley, 5MEB "Signs" (which I've always liked), and my fellow St. Louis County gal, Gayle McCormick (does her song remind anyone else of Freda Payne? It does to me!). I also love "One Fine Morning" and "Saturday Morning Confusion". "Timothy" is kind of a guilty pleasure--a sordid subject matter, but I love the beat and the orchestration. The John Kongos one didn't really grab me (that was the only one I didn't know before I got the CD). Maybe it will grow on me. I gotta admit I like the Pipkins one (kinda sounds like that "Ma-na-ma-na" song from "Sesame Street"). And if you're wondering why I'm reviving this ancient thread, it's because I just bought this very CD last night! That and the Alan Parsons Project's "I Robot"! Woo-hoo! Some great stuff and it was only about $15 for both CD's together.

Pink color scheme, with a cool, fiber-light lamp thingy. So THAT'S what those are called--"fiberlight lamp thingies"! Oh, yes, and like many of you, I also love the song by Crabby Appleton (love the scream near the end--"woooo!").
