So glad to see this poll's winning approval!
All of the above 7 I have yet to own on CD, or even anywhere.
Others for 1971 also noteworthy: (Hey, if John Kongos makes it, why not these...)
1900 yesterday-Liz Damon's Orient Express (have on a Dick Bartley CD) Battle hymn of Lt. Calley-C Company/Terry Nelson Love means you never have to say you're sorry-Sounds of Sunshine Can I get a witness-Lee Michaels (My third choice after Bloodrock and Mac & Katie) Charity ball-Fanny Resurrection shuffle-Ashton, Gardner & Dyke Pushbike song-Mixtures Maggie-Redbone 13 questions-Seatrain I hear those church bells ringing, Angel baby-Dusk
Footnote to 1970; I felt the Poppy Family's "That's where I went wrong" should DEFINITELY have been included; I may like it even more than "Billy".

I went with "other" - now it was a real toss up between Ashton , Gardner and Dyke and Redbone - since I love both. I finally decided and went with Resurrection Shuffle

The ones I really wanted to be on there were Mac & Katie Kissoon, Raiders, and Liz Damon's Orient Express, but I have all three on other CD's. I also have Les Crane, Tom Clay & Bloodrock on CD. Some of the others listed I've actually never heard, but there's nothing here I couldn't find on CD that I'd REALLY want.. So I'll go with the Raiders!

Couple of additions:
"Easy Lovin" by Freddie Hart would have fit PERFECTLY on vol. 4 (the country-flavored one)
"Only You Know & I Know"-Delaney & Bonnie (MUCH better than the included "Never Ending Song Of Love")

You've got "Desiderata" listed here; how about "Deteriorata" as well? (Thanks again, jpkansas, Ed, and everyone else on ML for triggering my memory brain cells about both of these)
