Other- "LORD IT FEELS LIKE.....Fallin' in Love...."
Ironically, I am listening to Poco right now.
Runner up would be the Daredevils.

I noticed "Americans" made a comeback after 9/11. I didn't hear it being played then (I do remember hearing some dj reading it, but not either of the actual recordings), but the words were forwarded a lot in e-mails.
Another song that sort of made a comeback thru' e-mail forwards is "Last Game of the Season". Not really the lyrics themselves, but the story. Some variations have football instead of baseball, but the basic story is the same.

Gonna go w/ other, yet still totally undecided. Rubettes I got on the Muriel's Wedding soundtrack, but it's the only song I bought it for. Wednesday I doubt has ever been on CD, but I was never crazy about "Last Kiss", no matter WHO does it. Prelude and Cliff DeYoung I'm not sure about their CD availability, but they would be a nice addition.

I thought of another song that should be on this list: "Second Avenue", originally recorded by Tim Moore and covered by Art Garfunkel (I think both were released in '74, although I didn't hear either version until about 1980 or so). Both versions ought to be on this list! Thanks, jpkansas, for bringing this song to mind with your posts over at ML!
