The 70's last 3 years didn't see too many pop/rock flash-in-the-pans (lots of disco/soul artists came and went however).
Others that coulda made it (none except Stallion reaching top 40, alas): Old fashioned boy (You're the one)-Stallion I just can't say no to you-Parker McGee I think we're alone now-Rubinoos Here comes summer-Wildfire Slow dancing-Funky Kings Sub-Rosa Subway/Calling occupants-Klaatu Up your nose-Gabriel Kaplan (Seriously!)
You know it, I picked Gene Cotton! CLOSE race for second between the Addrisis and Q.

Starz for me! With Jennifer Warnes, Addrissi Brothers, and Gene Cotton close behind. Of the "others", I only know the Klaatu song because I heard it once on Lost 45's. The Gabe Kaplain record I've heard of, but have never seen/heard.. Maybe I'll see if we have an old copy in our music archives at the station....

I voted "other" for "Here Comes Summer". (Actually, there GOES summer--Jonathan's school starts tomorrow! He'll be in 1st grade.)
BTW, Dave, I remember the song "It's a Crazy World"--is that where you got your current name extension? Or maybe from "It Could Happen" by Yes ("It's a crazy world outside")?

Laura, I HONESTLY thought of the Mac McAnally song, but in fact, it's part of a refrain from Abba's "Crazy world", originally only on the flip of their minor '77 hit "Money money money", and thankfully is on the box set. Also a bonus track on one of their 1976-release CD's.
