Well, my original intention was to make this the last day. Eight polls, eight artists each. (Hmmmmm, 64 artists, good for a tourney.....Maybe that's what I was thinking.....) But I actually have 3 more artists I could do. SHOULD I do another Poll and if so, you'd all need to come up with 5 more artists!!
As for today, you may question Fanny, but I read a CD review, and they had heavy praise from contemporaries (including Bowie) and they were a new sound for women.
I have strong support for Monkees, Poco, Love & ELO. But I'm gonna go with Patsy Cline since Johnny Cash went in.

In this group, I have to go with ELO. Other groups used the orchestral sound now and then, but they used it regularly. Brought a new dimension to Rock.
Made it tough for me, though, because I would have liked to vote for Patsy also. She was the first pure country female star to cross over. - and what a great voice.
I have, as you know, come to love Poco, and you can't argue about what kind of influence they were, especially on one band already in the Hall. Certainly deserve a shot.
Foreigner and Journey... both very prolific....but not IMO, a driving force.
Monkees? - Come on!
Not familiar enough with Love or Fanny to have an opinion.

Patsy Cline, without a doubt. It's been about forty years since her death now, hasn't it? And look at the respect country artists still hold for her, how many albums she still sells.
I think you should do another poll, if you want to. But I can't think of anyone offhand to suggest.
Well, I suppose I can but no one would agree, so we're not going in that direction...

A strong group of 8! But ELO won me over, for their unique innovation of strings in rock.

Yeah, try to keep doing these polls!
Granted, there won't be too many more strong choices left.
I'll look at my suggestions on some past topic here...

My vote went to Patsy Cline. Of the artists listed, she is by far the most deserving. ELO would be my second choice.
Keep the polls coming.

I went with ELO - along with Chicago, the Moodies, and Three Dog Night, one of the groups I'd most like to see in the Hall.

Oh, I gotta go with the Monkees! So what if they were the "Pre-fab Four?" They deserve it.
