Ok, I'm kicking off this board with my fave!!  I kept waiting and waiting for her to be on the cover of SOME magazine! For crying out loud, the woman is the female singer of the year of the CMA's, the ACM's and the AMAs! Well they finally threw her on the cover this week with a story on country singers homes! Ok, not exactly the story I was looking for, but a GREAT cover shot of Martina in sorta modern hippy clothes! If you like her, pick up a copy! Thanks to Dawn for telling me this was out!! |

Thanks to Dawn for telling me this was out!! Wait, Dawn knew about this before you? I can't believe it!  Even though I don't listen to a lot of modern country, I do like Martina so this is great news. Nice to know they finally decided to put her in the limelight. |

And the thing is, everytime Bekki or I went to Walmart, I made sure we checked to see if she was in the current issue at all! And it seemed to be the SAME magazine all the time! Then one day, I got an email from Dawn telling me the WONDERFUL news!! |

I used to be a fan of Shania Twain, and then it reminded me of Whitney Houston when she was all over the place: Overkill!
And as much as I like Faith Hill.. I'd love to see Martina recieve a HELL of a lot more recognition than she's been given over the years.

I'd love to see Martina recieve a HELL of a lot more recognition than she's been given over the years. And you know, Faith has a decent voice too, and I like a lot of songs-her older ones. Mostly the self titled album. But it's all about her "diva-ness" now. First of all, Martina IS good looking, and people don't see that. (Obviously, I prefer her. ) Second, people need to listen to the voices! |

I like Faith's older stuff, too. Ugh, that "diva-ness" reminds me of Jennifer Lopez (no way am I referring to her as J-Lo. *lol*).
Bingo! Which reminds me of the days before and after MTV: We all loved the songs, didn't care or even think about what the artists looked like and then bam! we see a video and it's like "What the hell?" Beauty shouldn't be the one thing that we pay attention to. And I've always thought that Martina was beautiful, so you're not alone there. haha
