Hey, all you Purple heads. I got my latest issue of Goldmine magazine in the mail (the ONLY music mag you need!) and there is a nice sized article on Deep Purple.
What I thought was cool was the cover photo of the Coverdale-Bolin-Hughes lineup. Certainly not their best lineup, but not a lineup you see very often.
I was thinking of doing this every issue, posting here what the magazine has in it. Thought it would be informative, and spice up a stagnant board.
What do you think?

Does the article cover all the different stages of their career, or just the Coverdale/Bolin/Hughes era?
I like Goldmine. I don't subscribe, but I have a few issues here and there. The articles are much more in-depth than other magazines.

The articles are much more in-depth than other magazines. Oh no, all eras! That's why the article is so long. They even go into Ronnie James Dio, Rainbow, Whitesnake, etc (although obviously not as much). I just thought it was cool they had a picture from that era on the cover. You really owe it to yourself to subscribe! Besides there being a good article every time, you save SO MUCH money over buying off the newstand! That's how I convinced my wife to let me get it! LOL!
