The putative leader of the students is Riff Randell, who loves the music of the Ramones. A new principal, the rock music hating Miss Evelyn Togar, is brought in and promises to put an end to the music craze. When Miss Togar and a group of parents attempt to burn a pile of rock records, the students take over the high school, joined by the Ramones, who are made honorary students. My Comments: I have none. Haven't seen it. Andrea, jump in anytime!

I've never seen the movie on video but have seen it a number of times on TV . Great movie - one of my favorite scenes is when the band is singing I Want You Around in P.J. Soles' Bedroom - Whatever happened to P.J. ? Great soundtrack as well

I've never seen this movie, but the synopsis sounds really interesting! I didn't know Vince Van Patten had starred in it, although I remember he was in quite a few TV and movie projects at the time.

Apparantly, she still acts occasionally, but she's recently gotten into producing more than acting. According to one website, her latest acting gig was as Riff Randall in The Donnas 2003 video "Too Bad About Your Girl". She's also been in a few tv movies the past couple of years. BTW--she was married to Dennis Quaid in the late 70's/early 80's. I did not know that.

Thank you Lora!
I'm a fan of The Ramones. It's interesting that there are now some bands that try to sound like The Ramones...ie; The Strokes, Jet.
This movie is terrible, but at the same time very enjoyable. The writing directing, and even editing are downright bad. (At one point it shifts to the next scene as the main character is beginning a sentence). The jokes are half baked (which just made me laugh more), and the movie features the oldest high school students I've ever seen. But I still love this movie.
I wouldn't recommend it to everyone. If you're a Ramones fan, you gotta see it. And if you like laughing at poorly made movies, you'll get some good laughs out too.
