What are some movie scenes that are memorable to you that wouldn't be nearly as memorable without the song playing behind it?

At the end of The Rose, whenever Rose's mom is showing the reporters Rose's old room, and "The Rose" is playing...
so sad.

From Grease, the scene where Olivia Newton-John is looking into the backyard pool while singing Hopelessly Devoted to You, and also when John Travolta is singing Sandy at the drive-in.

"We are the Champions" by Queen at the end of "Revenge of the Nerds." For one of the most hilarious films, that scene kinda choked me up.

Armageddon.
At the end of the movie after Harry Stamper (Bruce Willis) sacrifices himself, allowing A.J. Frost (Ben Affleck) to survive and return to earth to marry Stamper's daughter Grace (Liv Tyler). As the wedding ceremony commences, Grace is obviously remembering her father. The music? Aerosmith's "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" featuring lead singer Steven Tyler, Liv Tyler's real-life father.

Towards the end of American Grafitti, Toad is trying to hot wire the car that was stolen from him, & two big guys show up just as he gets it started and he looks at them and the Big Bopper's intro from Chantilly Lace plays just as he looks up. "Hello Baby". Always thought it was kinda a funny.

"Elegia" by New Order in Pretty In Pink. It just set the mood of the scene perfectly. I cry whenever I see that scene.
The scene in Sixteen Candles where Jake meets Samantha at the church and "If You Were Here" by The Thompson Twins is playing.
and the ultimate.... "Don't You Forget About Me" by Simple Minds from The Breakast Club. That song made the Movie!

I like that movie, but the song title isn't ringing a bell--what scene is it used in? I definitely think the "Hallelujah" song in "Shrek" should be added to this list--I know a lot of people have recorded it, but offhand I can't remember who sang it in the soundtrack. Anyway, that scene is a real tearjerker, and so is the song.
