What Are Words For? (7/17) (Late edition)

I didn't have time to post this earlier. Things are getting hectic at work, and my boss wasn't thrilled that I didn't have orders ready for production, so needless to say it was nose to the grindstone all day, I brought stuff home, and I still have stuff to do. I'll put this one up, then put one up for tomorrow later tonight.

Anyway, even though it may seem like it, I'm not on a wistful song kick. This group was in yesterday's opinion post, and I had to list this one as a favorite, and then it goes in the head, etc.

Even though this doesn't seem to be a favorite group around here, it's a though provoking song. I've always found it a well written look back at youth.

My Opinion In A Nutshell: This could be taken several ways. Rumors have always abounded about the PSB's romantic preferences. I just ignore that and enjoy a great song. It's interesting where our chosen paths take us.

What a powerful line, and so true. This line really speaks to me, because lately I've found myself confronted with some sobering realities about my life. When we're young, we never think of it being "too late" to do anything - we have years and years ahead of us. But there comes a point when we realize that we really don't have unlimited time, and that some hopes and dreams are never going to be realized.

That old line about youth being wasted on the young....I used to think it was so lame. Ah, to know then what I know now. I have often said I should have gone to business school with my best friend or taken up the offer to have strings pulled for me at Ohio State instead of wasting a year at Youngstown State only to have them discontinue my major, come home, decide I'm sick of school after not being able to get in anywhere else for fall because it was too late, opt for the associates degree in computer science at the community college which is so outdated now it isn't even funny, but then I'd have never met my husband, etc., etc. I try not to ask "what if?" too often.
