But it's a guilty pleasure for most people.
And since my husband has started down the path to glory, I dedicate this song to him, and the hard work he has ahead:
KUNG FU FIGHTING
By: Carl Douglas
Album: (Could only find Have A Nice Day Vol 4)
Author: Carl Douglas
Everybody was kung-fu fighting
Those cats were fast as lightning
In fact it was a little bit frightning
But they fought with expert timing
They were funky China men from funky Chinatown
They were chopping them up and they were chopping them down
It's an ancient Chineese art and everybody knew their part
From a fainting to a slip and kicking from the hip
Everybody was kung-fu fighting
Those cats were fast as lightning
In fact it was a little bit frightning
But they fought with expert timing
There was funky Billy Chin and little Sammy Chung
He said here comes the big boss, lets get it on
We took a bow and made a stand, started swinging with the hand
The sudden motion made me skip now we're into a brand knew trip
Everybody was kung-fu fighting
Those cats were fast as lightning
In fact it was a little bit frightning
But they did it with expert timing
(repeat)..make sure you have expert timing
Kung-fu fighting, had to be fast as lightning

My Opinion In A Nutshell: He's been studying Tae Kwon Do since early 1997 (with a break from mid 2000-Jan 2003 when his work hours did not permit him attending class). His next test level is red belt/black stripe. The next step is black. He's working very hard - they told hime he wouldn't test within the year when he started back in Jan and he's testing in November. He's also teaching the Tiny tots and younger children. He's beginning the study of Tae Kwon Do history, to prove he's an interested student. He's doing a demo next Monday, and Saturday, and we're hoping to get to a tournament in October.
Favorite Line: "They were funky China men from funky Chinatown"
