It's Underrated Song Week!! (4/15)

I debated about whether to include this song. Part of it's appeal is it's unique sound, and I just can't find a clip to link to.

So I've decided to include it anyway, and if anyone wants to hear it, I can most likely upload it and send it via e-mail as an attachment. I still have my cassette single of this song, released in 1990, but it took me forever to find it to download.

The artist started out as a Christian singer, then had limited success (one hit) with a group, then tried on his own, resulting in this single. I can find little information, and could find no information as to who wrote the song.

My Opinion In A Nutshell: the lyrics are good and bring vivid imagery of someone trapped in a miserable relationship, but to me, part of the appeal of this song was it's unique sound. I don't know that one, but I like what I've heard from Brent Bourgeois so far. I have both of the albums by the group Bourgeois Tagg (Tagg being the last name of another guy in the band). I have their self-titled album on tape and "Yoyo" on CD. Both are really good. Plus I have a CCM compilation, "Roaring Lambs", that has a duet ("One Thing") which Brent sings with Ginny Owens.

I liked "I Don't Mind" by Bourgeois Tagg. He has a beautiful voice, and that's probably part of what caught my attention with this song. I was never aware that he was a successful Christian singer before I did some research a few years back trying to find this song.
