Ok, these aren't EXACT quotes, I may have a few words wrong, but it's the general idea.

These are some of my faves.

Jeff Beck, inducting Rod Stewart-"People say we have a love-hate relationship.....This is true. He loves me and I hate him."

Jeff Beck going in as a Yardbird-"People say I should be happy, but I'm not, because they fired me......so f$ck them!!"

Chuck Berry-"I'm just happy to be anywhere right now."

George Harrison, going in as a Beatle:"Wonderful to be here, it's certainly a thrill."

and

"It's a shame Paul's not here, he had the speech in his pocket."

Ray Davies-"Seeing you all out here dressed up so nice makes me think how respectable Rock-n-Roll has become. What a bummer."

Those are great quotes! I especially like George's comments - he had a really good sense of humor.

We can't forget Mike Love's classic tirade on the other artists, especially his statement about Mick Jagger..

And Bob Dylan's later comeback, "I'd like to thank Mike Love, for not mentioning ME!"
