November 24, 1966 - The Beatles begin recording sessions for the "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" LP, laying tracks for "Strawberry Fields Forever". The track doesn't make the album, however.

Strawberry Fields Forever is one of my Beatle favorites. I do wish they'd gone ahead and included it on Sgt. Pepper - it would have been a perfect fit.
