November 25, 1961 - The Everly Brothers joined the Marine Corps Reserves at a recruiting office in Paducah, Kentucky. Two weeks later, Don and Phil Everly left behind their family, friends and girlfriends and reported to boot camp at Camp Pendleton in California.

It's interesting how many stars have actually served time in the military. Some are so humble, while others would think military service was beyond them.
I'm impressed.
